Monster Eyes DIY Shirt

Materials you will need for the Monster Eyes DIY Shirt:

Plain Colored Shirt (a color of your choice)

Different sizes of Wiggling eyes (depends as to how many eyes you’d like to place on shirt)

Silk screen fabric ink

Silk screen frame

Image print in a transparencypaper (this is for the mouth of the monster – as seen on the photo)

Squeegee

Small cardboard that can fit inside the shirt

Adhesive Bonds

Procedure:

Step 1   :             You need to draw or better yet make a layout using your computer of a monsters mouth by using Image print in a transparency paper. Just like the one shown in the pictures. Once you already have the monsters mouth, you then have your silk screen ready and tape the image print. That way you can print on it.

Step 2   :               Lay the plain shirt (a color of your choice) flat on a table. But I would suggest that you make use of bright colors, so that when you paint the mouth of the monster, you’ll be using black. This will make the mouth more emphasize. (See the yellow shirt). Make sure that you put something inside the shirt like the small cardboard so that the paint won’t go through the back portion of the shirt.

Step 3   :               Prepare to silk screen paint the shirt and once you already have painted the shirt, let it dry for about an hour or two. Just to make sure that the paint is properly absorb and is already dried before placing in the wiggling eyes.

Step 4   :               Using adhesive bonds, stick one eye at a time. It doesn’t really matter how you place them. There really is no particular order on how to do it. It is all up to you, how wide your imagination would be.

Step 5   :               Let it dry and you are already set.

Tip: Wash on reverse side, this will avoid the eyes to wear off easily. Or better yet, hand wash them.

Materials you will need:

Scissor

Thread

Super glue

Snap buttons

Faux leather, any color

Here’s how:

Starting off with your faux leather, cut it out an oval shape with a scissor, make sure it fit around your wrist not too tight not too big.

Take the leather fabric that you cut out and pinch it right in the center to create that bow like shape that you want.

Take a thread and simply wrap it around the area that is pinched, make sure you leave a little bit of excess and take the other part of the thread and wrap it around as well. You should have 2 little piece of thread and tie it like a knot. Cut out the excess.

Next step, cut out a little piece of strip of the same leather fabric to conceal the thread.

Wrap it around the center of the bow and glue that to secure. Let the glue dry.

Next, take out your snap buttons and glue it and put it to where you want it to be. Let the glue dry out completely.

Now, you have completed your leather DIY bow bracelet, honestly, I’m addicted to this DIY project that I almost made 4 bow bracelet just for one day, hope you enjoy this tutorial, see you next time!

DIY Superman Theme Birthday Banner

I’ll be sharing with you today how I made my DIY Birthday Banner which actually is inspired from the Superman character. I actually found this kind of birthday banner over the internet and I thought my kid would like to have it since he is such a fan of Superman. Although, I didn’t put some Superman and stuffs, I just made use of the colors. Procedure:

1. Using your pencil, draw the letters from the word “Happy Birthday” on the red construction art paper. One letter on each art paper. (See images to see how I draw my letters)


2.  Once you have the letters, cut the letters out and set them aside.


3. Using your pencil, draw zigzag lines or curve lines on the yellow art paper. Just like the ones I did on the picture and cut them.


4. Once the letters and curve lines on the yellow paper are done glue or tape each letter on top of it.


5. Then glue them to the blue art paper. Punch a small hole on the upper part of the blue art paper. Just small holes for the string or yarn to fit in.


6. Arrange the letters accordingly and give distance to each letters.


7. Then the birthday banner is ready for you to hang them on the wall.


8. If you also want to add the name of the celebrant that is a great idea too.

Isn’t that easy? Go ahead and make your child this beautiful banner. Just perfect and just the match. Making your own birthday banner can be time consuming but for any full-time mothers this is a must do and I’m pretty sure with this Superman theme birthday banner, your kids will love it.
